The event occurred in the church of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The subject, whose identity is unknown, entered the religious headquarters with a gun and shot his partner, who died on the spot.

Immediately after, the man committed suicide. These unfortunate events occurred around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 25.

In the first instance, the Thornton Police responded to an emergency call reporting a fire in the structure of the Kingdom Hall, a congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thornton.

However, upon arriving at the scene, officers were informed that two people were shot and killed at the scene. The unidentified woman was fatally shot by her husband, who then shot himself with the same weapon.

Both adults were former members of the Kingdom Hall congregation and died on the premises of that church, located at 951 Milky Way in Thornton.
