Bobcat unveils world’s first all-electric track loader

Doosan Bobcat unveiled the all-electric Bobcat T7X compact track loader at CES 2022. The prototype of the novelty was demonstrated almost two years ago at the CONEXPO-CON / AGG 2020 exhibition, held in Las Vegas.

Despite the availability of various electric forklift models on the market, the company is positioning the T7X as the world’s first all-electric machine of this type, as it does not have the hydraulic system used in other forklift trucks to operate the bucket and boom. Instead, the T7X has an electric drive system consisting of electric cylinders and electric motors. The result is zero emissions, reduced noise and running costs, and limited vibration.

Plus, the driver no longer has to wait for the hydraulic system to “warm up” before starting work.

To accelerate the development of the T7X electronic control, Doosan Bobcat has partnered with Moog Inc., a developer of motion control components and systems for industries ranging from aerospace and defense to construction.

It should be noted that the T7X loader won the 2022 CES Innovation Awards in the Transport Intelligence and Transportation and Smart Cities categories.
