Body found in Montreal garbage bin

Horrible discovery Monday morning in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district, in Montreal: a garbage collector found the body of a man in a garbage bin. The case is being treated as a suspicious death by the police.

This unexpected and morbid discovery took place a little before 9 a.m., in front of a residential building on rue Adam, near the intersection of avenue Letourneux.

A garbage collector who was collecting garbage emptied the contents of the green bin into the garbage truck and it was at this precise moment that he saw the remains.

He immediately contacted the police authorities.

According to our information, the victim is a man in his sixties. It is not known, however, whether or not the body bore marks of violence.

A large security perimeter was erected in the area and the police had to go door to door in the morning, in particular to find the owner of the garbage bin.

Several other witnesses, including the garbage collector who discovered the body, were also to be met.
