A male body was found in the Tyrolean Völs (Innsbruck-Land district) on Wednesday. The State Criminal Police Office apparently assumed a violent crime and a man was arrested “on urgent suspicion,” said LKA investigator Philipp Rapold to the APA. The victim is “very likely” to be a 75-year-old who has been missing in the Völs area since last Wednesday.
“But it’s not completely certain yet,” explained the investigator. However, the crime is probably related to what was reported as missing. The body was found in a house in the afternoon and the suspect was arrested elsewhere, but also in Fiè.
Further details, including the identity of the suspect, have not been disclosed for the time being due to the ongoing investigation. According to media reports, the dead person is said to be a former local politician.
