Thiruvananthapuram – The body of one of the two students who went missing in Karamanayat has been found. The dead body of Jibit, son of Jayaraj and Manju, natives of Papad and ninth standard student, was found. The search for Anisha’s son Niranjan, who went missing along with Jibit, is going on at Vayalikada Varuvila house in Vazhotukonam.
Both of them were washed away with their friends near Vattiyoorkav Ayiravalli temple pond on Saturday around 4 pm. Friends who were nearby saw the children drowning and informed the locals.
Vattiurkao police, Chengalchula fire brigade team and scuba team conducted a search. The search was conducted for more than two hours, but the search was called off due to strong currents and lack of light in the area. The search resumed this morning.
