Boise Cascade Company is a producer of engineered wood products (EWP) and plywood in North America and a wholesale distributor of building materials in the United States. The Company operates through two segments, namely Wood Products and Building Materials Distribution (BMD). The Wood Products segment manufactures laminated veneer lumber (LVL), I-joists and laminated beams. It also manufactures structural, appearance and industrial plywood panels, as well as ponderosa pine lumber. The Building Materials Distribution segment operates a network of distribution facilities that sells a range of building materials, including oriented strand board (OSB), plywood and lumber; general items, such as cladding, composite decking, doors, metal products, insulation, roofing and oriented strand board (EWP). Its products are used in residential housing construction, including single-family, multi-family and manufactured homes, as well as industrial applications. The company also specializes in carpentry.
