Borrell: Delayed American aid to Kiev may become a reason for its defeat

England – European Union High Commissioner for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell confirmed that a six-month delay in US aid to Ukraine may be a reason for Kiev’s defeat.

Borrell said during his lecture in Britain: “The differences on the political scene in the United States led to a delay in aid for six months, which is a long period in war conditions, and this delay can change the situation between victory and defeat in the war.”

This comes once morest the backdrop of the US Congress approving legislation to finance military aid to Ukraine worth regarding $61 billion, months following the aid stopped due to disagreements between Republicans and Democrats.

After the legislation was passed and President Joe Biden signed it, the United States announced urgent aid worth one billion dollars. Washington also plans to provide another aid package that will be worth $6 billion.

Ukraine has received huge financial and military aid from Western countries, led by the United States and other European countries, since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, on February 24, 2022.

Through the material, military and political support they provide to Kiev, these countries seek to obstruct the goals of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. However, Moscow has confirmed on more than one occasion that the military operations in the Donbas region will not stop until all the tasks assigned to it are achieved.
