He Borussia Dortmund seized this Saturday the first place of the Bundesligaby beating Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0 and taking advantage of the 3-1 defeat conceded by the Bayern Munich against Mainz.
Dortmund, who last day could not make the most of the champion’s stumble due to a last-minute draw against Stuttgart, put great intensity into the fight for divided balls from the start of the game and took advantage of their first chances to achieve a comfortable lead before the break.
The first shot on goal, in minute 19, ended up in the goal. Jude Bellingmam scored with a shot from his right foot from the edge of the area, after a great play by Julian Brandt who put a short ball between two defenders.
After a spin, Bellinghmam had a free hand to shoot and he did, and the ball went past goalkeeper Kevin Trapp’s left post.
Eintracht tried to react and had a good arrival on 22′, when Mats Hummels blocked a shot from close range by Mario Götze at the last moment from a corner kick.

In attack, Eintracht could not find Randal Kolo Muani but they made two arrivals that could have put him back in the game. A header from Aurelio Buta at 34′ that Kobel saved and a shot from Götze at 37′ that went near the far post.
Instead of discounting the score, what came was Dortmund’s third goal, scored by Hummels with a header to Guerreiro’s center at 41′.
In the second half, Dortmund, despite the advantage, did not lower the intensity and even seemed to be driven by it and put Eintracht in their half. In the 66 ‘ Malen, by scoring the fourth from Adeyemi’s pass, put an end to any doubts that might remain pending.
Borussia Dortmund has 60 points, which now looks down on Bayern with a difference of 1 unit.
