An official statement from Borussia Dortmund stated that the player had to leave the training camp in Bad Ragas, Switzerland due to physical discomfort and after that he returned to Dortmund and was diagnosed with cancer.
The German club demanded that more information be obtained if detailed tests are conducted and the privacy of the player and his family should be respected. They also stated that they will notify when other information is received.
Dortmund CEO Sebastian Kehl responded that the news about Haller’s illness was a big shock. He wished the actor a speedy recovery and said that he would give the best treatment to Haller.
