Short-term change to the schedule of the BOSS Vienna Padel Open.
Due to a shift in the main draw, Marc Janko and Dominik Bierent were drawn new opponents for the first qualifying round – and thus also received a new starting time.
The information from the World Padel Tour (WPT) came on Friday evening: The Spanish superstars Juan Lebron and Alex Galan have to cancel the BOSS Vienna Padel Open due to injury.
The long-standing number 1 pairing, which had recently lost the lead in the world rankings to Augustin Tapia/Arturo Coello (ARG/ESP) following more than three years, had to give up this week at the Danish Padel Open in Copenhagen before the round of 16.
Lebron has been suffering from an injury throughout the season, but now it has become acute once more.
Although Lebron/Galan are back at the top of the WPT world rankings following reaching the round of 16 following this week, the season dominators Tapia/Coello might take first place once more at the BOSS Vienna Padel Open.
