Boston comes back and hits a sinking Nets for the second time

With another outstanding team performance, the Boston Celtics traced this Wednesday a 17 point handicap and they won by 114-107 a los Brooklyn Netswhich allowed them to hit the table and add a 2-0 lead in the first round series of the NBA playoffs.

Following their win at the buzzer in Game 1, complete with artwork by Jayson Tatum, the Celtics played a full game, offensively brilliant and defensively aggressiveas shown by the 10 points awarded to Kyrie IrvingKevin Durant’s only nine from the field.

Boston will travel now to Brooklyn with a 2-0 leadafter winning two high-intensity games, and with history at his side, as he only lost one playoff series in 41 precedents when he won the first two games.

It was once again the unity of the team that made the difference for the Celtics. Jaylen Brown stood out with 22 pointsbut as many as seven players finished above ten points.

Jayson Tatum chipped in 19 pointswith six rebounds, ten assists and a tremendous defensive effort that helped shut down the Nets’ stars.

Irvingwho had scored 39 points in the first game, barely scored ten, with a four of thirteen shootingwhile Durant finished with 27 points, but 18 of them came from the free throw line.

KD‘ had a modest four of 17 shooting and lost six balls, in addition to arriving loaded with fouls in the decisive minutes.

The Nets came to enjoy an advantage that touched 17 points at 62-45but the Celtics grew after the break and equalized at 79-79, thanks to a great jump shot from Daniel Theis.

Once again, as happened in the first game, the two teams extended their face to face until the endin a technical, physical and mental duel.

The Celtics, pushed by their fans, increased their competitiveness and pulled together as a team to build a forceful partial of 14-2 which gave them a five-point lead with six minutes remaining.

With the Nets already sunk, the last minutes were a Celtics partyin which Marcus Smart, with an excellent basket with his left hand, opened the way to the final 114-107.
