You must remember the robot dog and Boston Dynamics, which even received 5G in one of its latest updates. Well, the machine went through a new update and now it can open doors by itself, among some other implementations in its operation.

In general, the new attributes were implemented with a focus on attracting more people to join the robot. In this sense, the innovations aim to keep it safer and easier to use, in addition to the equipment being able to move better in terrain that is not very favorable.

Most updates to Spot will be leveraged by those who rely on the robot for routine inspections in industrial environments. Likewise, there is a software complement that allows the equipment to take its own pictures and not just register analogue meters.

It is worth remembering that the company has already demonstrated a resource for the robot dog that would make it capable of opening doors. However, it was a resource that depended on human operation, which is no longer the case. Now, he manages to be autonomous enough to do this kind of task on his own.

Other additions include five types of light warnings ranging from a green one in common operations to even a white one for when the robot is doing inspection analyses. Finally, even the robot’s ability to hold itself during a slide has been improved.

Check it out too what the company’s biped robot can do, according to a video released at the beginning of the year.
