Indian Wells (USA) – Tennis player Marie Bouzková smoothly advanced to the second round at the tournament in Indian Wells. She beat the Spaniard Sara Sorribes, with whom she plays doubles and together they won two doubles titles in the past, 6:1, 6:1 in 76 minutes. On Thursday, they will take the court together again in the California desert, but this time on the same side of the court for the first round of the doubles match.

The 25-year-old Bouzková relied on a reliable serve in the match and did not offer her opponent a single chance to break in the first set. She herself, on the other hand, used all three of her opportunities. The Prague native showed the only hesitation on serve in the opening game of the second set, but she was able to react immediately to the loss of serve, won the next six games in a row and ended the match at the first match point.

For advancement to the third round of singles, Bouzková will face 28th-seeded Anastasia Potapova, who initially had a free draw.
