Aki Ajo will be team director of Red Bull KTM in MotoGP from 2025, succeeding Francesco Guidotti. One of the riders he will be working with is Brad Binder, who he previously worked with at Ajo Motorsport in Moto3 and Moto2.
The South African expressed his excitement about working with Ajo again: ‘Obviously I have a really long relationship with Aki. He brought me into his team back in 2015. He’s a great guy and we had a lot of really cool times together. And yes, he’s really a great guy, so I’m really looking forward to working with him again’.
When Binder was asked what he expects from Ajo’s management, he believes its ability to simplify things could be a significant advantage:
– I think Aki is the type of person who understands a lot but also tries to keep things as simple as possible. I think we are in a very complicated sport, with many complicated situations. I think he tries to make everything as simple as possible and that really works for what we need to improve. I think this will be really good for us. I’m excited to see what happens.
