Al Gharafa a affronté Al Markhiya in a meeting which saw the tenure of six Algerian players, four players from Al Gharafa and two from Al Markhiya.
The meeting was lively between the two teams and Al Markhiya managed to open the scoring through Moroccan midfielder Fetouhi on an assist from former U23 international Jugurtha Hamroun, who took advantage of a poorly cleared ball by the Algerian international Mehdi Tahrat to deliver a back pass for Fetouhi who with a nice placed shot beats goalkeeper Kasser Borhane, score at half-time 1-0.
In the second half, Al Gharafa entered with more desire and managed to get some dangerous chances and it was in the 56th minute of play that Yacine Brahimi managed to put his team back in the game, the Algerian playmaker dribbled past two players before making a pass for Belfodil, the latter finds Brahimi who dribbled a new player before lobbing the goalkeeper with a nice flick to score his team’s first goal during this match.

A few minutes later, Al Gharafa obtained a penalty following a foul by Algerian international defender Azzi in the area, Ishak Belfodil decided to shoot it and managed to take the goalkeeper on the wrong foot and scored his third goal of the season.
