After a dream start at the start of the season with an 11:0 against FC Bergheim and a 10:0 against USK Volksbank Gneis, the U14 had a draw against SG Sportfreunde Flachgau, a narrow defeat against Wallersee Ost and finally a 2:4 Half-time lead against Wals-Grünau.
The U16 also started strongly with a 6-0 against SC Mittersill and a 5-o against USK Maishofen. They lost 4:5 in the last minute against SG Leogang/Lenzing, but last Saturday they defeated SG Niedernsill/Uttendorf 4:1.
Youth leader Josef Innerhofer is very satisfied with his youngsters: “This year we are quite well positioned in this area, where things are often difficult for the squad due to vocational and school training. There are 22 young people playing in the U14. It only gets difficult in direct duels with bigger ones Clubs or syndicates like Kuchl or Bischofshofen, of course we can’t keep up with them in terms of squad width. But the boys are doing well, the syndicate with Mühlbach from the U14 onwards works great.”
