COLUMBUS, Ohio — Brandon Hagel scored a goal and added two assists, Andrei Vasilevskiy made 32 saves and the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 on Saturday.

Hagel has now totaled 10 points during a six-game point streak.

Nicholas Paul had a goal and an assist to help Florida avoid a third straight loss. Anthony Cirelli and Steven Stamkos also scored in the victory.

Boone Jenner scored both goals for the local favorites in the third period, each time with the help of Johnny Gaudreau. Elvis Merzlikins stopped 33 shots for the Blue Jackets, who have lost two straight at home.

Despite numerous shots from the Blue Jackets at the start of the match, it was the Lighting who opened the scoring through Paul. The latter scored his seventh goal of the season on the power play with 4:20 remaining in the first.

The visitors then built a three-goal lead and the Blue Jackets were unable to come from behind.
