The cozy is located on the Cornelis Schuytstraat in Amsterdam South Brasserie Van Dam. The atmosphere of this brasserie is reminiscent of a cozy Parisian eatery. Upon entering, you are immediately struck by the warm hospitality. And good food is certainly possible here too!

Surprising menu
It is definitely worth being surprised by the delicious dishes on the menu. In addition to classics such as burgers, farm chicken and carpaccio, the brasserie also offers surprising options such as country bread with egg-truffle salad, fish of the day, gyozas and a chef’s steak. Lots of goodies to choose from!

Delicious gyoza, tuna tataki and steak tartare
During our visit we enjoyed a Bernardus Chardonnay from Monterey County, which paired perfectly with the various dishes we tasted. From vegetarian gyoza with crispy chilli mayonnaise to refined tuna tataki, we really enjoyed every dish. The steak tartare with truffle mayonnaise was delicious and the burrata stracciatella with crostini is also highly recommended.

A surprising dessert
The highlight of the evening was the tiramisu Van Dam style, presented in a unique round tube that was removed when serving, creating a beautiful effect. We also had the pecan-caramel tart and a refreshing sgroppino. A perfect end to the evening!

Brasserie Van Dam surprised us with tasty dishes and a cozy atmosphere, so we had a great evening. We can highly recommend Brasserie Van Dam for a wonderful evening of dining. And who knows, you might even be served by one of the Van Dammers themselves! ????
