During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a resident of rue de l’Île aux Corbeaux, in Liège was awakened by the sound of broken windows.
The man got out of his bed and then saw that two strangers had just broken the window of his car before taking two tool boxes that were there.
Without a second thought, the guy jumped into his pants and set off after the two thieves. He joined them, recovered his property and held the two men there until the police arrived.
The two men were then brought back to the station for questioning. It turned out that the two men were staying illegally.
They were deprived of their liberty and referred to the Liège public prosecutor’s office on Thursday. There, the case was put under investigation with a request for an arrest warrant.
