Meteorology added in a statement on Wednesday that next Sunday, the first of October 2023, is the date when the heat wave will break and temperatures will drop in all parts.
The authority explained that this is accompanied by light rain falling on various areas of the Western Desert, extending to include areas of northern Upper Egypt, the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, the canal cities, areas of Greater Cairo, and the far south of the country.
She noted that these conditions are expected to continue until Monday, marking the first rainy season in the fall.
