During a session held on Saturday May 27 at the headquarters of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT) in Casablanca, the Administrative Commission of the Union Syndicale des Ingénieurs de Banques (USIB) examined the national demands bank staff in order to make decisions for the benefit of Moroccan banking staff.
The Administrative Commission has endorsed the proposal of the USIB/GPBM Mixed Commission in response to a demanding specification. Thus, several measures have been taken.
According to Médias 24, questioning a source familiar with the matter, the first measure is linked to a gross monthly increase of 500 dirhams, planned for salaries less than or equal to 240,000 gross annual dirhams. This measure aims to improve the financial conditions of the employees concerned.
For the supplementary pension, the source specifies that the supplementary pension will be generalized for staff aged 40 and over. Employees will have to contribute 2% of their gross salary, of which 1% will be their responsibility and 1% will be borne by the employer. This provision aims to guarantee better financial security to employees when they retire.
Concerning the improvement of the Tamwin card, there too, it is expected that the ceilings of the Tamwin card will be increased by 500 dirhams per tranche. The Tamwin card is a social benefit granted to employees in the banking sector, allowing them to benefit from various benefits and discounts. This measure aims to strengthen the benefits offered to employees.
For the improvement and diversification of social works, measures will be taken to improve and diversify social works for bank staff in all regions of Morocco. The source adds that they will include the introduction of new programs and services aimed at meeting the needs and expectations of employees in different aspects of their professional and personal lives.
Médias 24 recalls that Amal El Amri, Secretary General of the USIB will make a more detailed communication during the official signing of the memorandum of understanding which will take place in the coming days. And to explain in substance: “The proposal of the mixed commission USIB-Professional grouping of Moroccan banks in response to the demands book is recorded, but must be formalized by the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the GPBM and the USIB in the next few days, the GPBM is resolutely determined to improve the working conditions and remuneration of employees in the banking sector.
These decisions bear witness to the efforts made by the USIB/UMT Administrative Commission to respond to the legitimate claims of bank staff and to improve their working and living conditions.
