NEW YORK — A driver allegedly struck several pedestrians Sunday night in a busy area of Manhattan just blocks from Times Square, New York City Police said.
The accident occurred just before midnight at the corner of 36th Street and Sixth Avenue when the 29-year-old driver ran a red light and struck at least 7 people, authorities added.
Among the injured there is a 34-year-old woman and 6 men with ages ranging from 24 to 61 years, according to the uniformed. None of the injuries are considered critical, according to police.
The driver continued her journey until she had another accident involving three cars in Queens where she was arrested, the uniformed said. No one was injured in this incident.
Authorities are investigating the facts and did not release any further details.
