The reigning double world champion in the 200m Shericka Jackson set the 4th best time in history. She achieved 21”48 (wind: +0.2 m/s) at the Diamond League meeting in Brussels.
Jackson (29 years old) now holds the second (21”41), third (21”45) and fourth (21”48) best times in history over 200m. But the controversial world record of icon Florence Griffith-Joyner, 21”34 run 35 years ago, continues to stand.
Jackson, also a double world vice-champion in the 100m (2022 and 2023), must conclude her summer season during the Diamond League final in mid-September in Eugene.
