A week ago, we reported on a Bloomberg interview with Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who said he hadn’t decided yet whether The Elder Scrolls VI would be a PC and Xbox exclusive like Starfield. Well, now a new filing has been filed in the FTC v. Microsoft case (acquisition of Activision Blizzard), and Microsoft lays out their plans for the future. The document you can view on The Verge is apparently for internal use only, and makes it clear that there will be no PlayStation version of The Elder Scrolls VI, with PC and Xbox being the game’s only platforms. Another interesting thing is that while representatives from Xbox and Bethesda have downplayed the game’s level of development, claiming it’s still far away, it actually seems like it could launch in 2026. While it also says “or later” we’re assuming the 2026 part has to come from somewhere and is some kind of estimate of what can be done, at least in theory. Image from The Elder Scrolls Online.
