It seemed only a matter of time and the Remparts confirmed it even before we reached the middle of the second period: game no. 2 between the Remparts and the Olympiques has officially broken the all-time attendance record for a playoff game in the QMJHL.
A total of 17,911 spectators gathered at the Videotron Center for the game. The previous record was 40 years old. On April 22, 1983, the Montreal Forum welcomed 17,860 spectators for a match between the Chevaliers de Longueuil and the Junior de Verdun.
The Remparts had already broken their own record of 15,342 on Friday in game no. 1 of the series, which was attended by 17,416 fans.
