Since Friday November 24, 2023, the Breast Physiotherapist Network (RKS) of the Pyrénées-Orientales has been launched. The thirteen members, all women to date, are physiotherapists spread throughout the territory and trained in breast cancer. These professionals have specialized for years or recently to meet the needs of patients suffering from breast cancer and seeking comprehensive care adapted to their care pathway.
Since the creation of the association in 2020 at the national level, the Réseau des Kinés du Sein (RKS) in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with only three members to its credit, was integrated into that of Haute-Garonne. Since last Friday, around a relaxed meal at the D’aqui D’ailleurs restaurant in Perpignan, the team made up of ten more people around its representative Justine Llense-Rodriguez is officially emancipated and in battle order.

Each of her physiotherapists made observations in her practice which encouraged her to get involved in the fight against breast cancer and to train in breast cancer. “I regretted that patient care was not taken in depth during our studies,” deplores Amandine Salvat, who has been part of this adventure since the beginning. “I realized that more and more young women were affected by this illnesssays Charlotte Cadilhac from Madières. Also, the Network of Breast Physiotherapists of P.-O. is in the process of identifying pharmacists, radiotherapists, nurse coordinators, surgeons, general practitioners, hairdressers, tattoo artists, beauticians… in order to put them in contact.
