Brendan Gallagher’s uppercut to the referees

Clearly, Dominique Ducharme isn’t the only member of the Canadiens organization to have it. fed up with controversial officials’ decisions.

On Monday, it was Brendan Gallagher who, even sidelined due to injury, got carried away after CH scored a goal against the Coyotes.

While the score was 3-2 in favor of Arizona, Nick Schmaltz scored a fourth goal for the locals, taking advantage of the presence of Antoine Roussel in front of Cayden Primeau. On resumption, however, we see that the Quebec player of the Coyotes is in the semi-circle of the CH goalkeeper and even goes so far as to touch him when the shot is fired.

Despite a challenge from Ducharme, the officials stood by their original decision, awarding the net to Schmaltz.

Via Twitter, Gallagher, offended by the whole sequence, could not hold back.

“Gally” first recalls that the CH was denied a goal scored in VERY similar circumstances against the Hurricanes, at the start of the season. It is also himself who had scored on the sequence.

It then compares the net awarded to the Blackhawks last Thursday to a goal from the Montrealers who was also refused against the Lightning.

“Can’t wait for April”, probably says the entire team of Canadians, at the moment…
