The Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Decentralization reported through a statement that there was no positive response to the request to introduce the famous film “Sound of Freedom” into the country.

As he said, the Government is in charge of classifying film productions, but the producers are in charge of bringing them into the country.

“In this sense, we proceeded to request the producers of the film “Sound of Freedom”, without obtaining a favorable response,” said the Government in the statement.

He also indicated that negotiations were carried out with film companies, by virtue of which they had promoted the film and later withdrew the ad.

On social media, Hondurans have been asking to screen the movie “Sound of Freedom” in Honduran theaters.

“Sound of Freedom”, produced by Eduardo Verastegui and starring Jim Caviezel, tells the story of a Homeland Security agent who decides to found his own agency to end child trafficking, including Honduran and Latin American children.

The Governor’s statement comes following a movie theater chain in Honduras published the list of upcoming films to be released, but the publication on social networks was deleted.
