British mercenaries sentenced to death refuse to ask for pardon

The press service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic stated that all foreign mercenaries from Morocco and the UKwho had previously been sentenced to capital punishment, received a translated text of the verdict.

At the same time, as representatives of the court reported, none of the mercenaries received a petition for pardon.

“Earlier, the full text of the verdict was issued to the mercenaries. The text was translated into their languages ​​in accordance with the law in force. At the moment, they have not received requests for clemency,” the court stressed.

Recall that British citizens Eidin Aslin and Sean Pinner, as well as Moroccan Saadoun Brahim, were sentenced to death on June 9. They are suspected of actions aimed at the violent seizure of power.

Later, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss issued a statement saying that the country’s authorities would make every effort to release their subjects, who were sentenced to capital punishment in the DPR.
