Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is considering attending the funeral of British Queen Elizabeth II scheduled for the 19th, TV Asahi reported on the 10th.
TV Asahi said, “Prime Minister Kishida is scheduled to attend the UN General Assembly in New York this month.
Prime Minister Kishida said the day before that the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England was “a great loss not only for the British people but also for the international community.”
Emperor Naruhito is also making arrangements to attend the funeral, Kyodo News reported, citing a Japanese government official.
Queen Masako is currently undergoing recuperation and is expected to accompany the visit to the emperor if she is in good health.
