Verena Duregger, Christoph Leitner and Andreas Leiter have been bringing people together to talk regarding cancer for six years. They do it cheerfully and honestly. Now they want to go one step further.
You quickly notice that the three of them are a well-rehearsed team. Their roles can be roughly described as follows: Verena Duregger, the journalist, provides the content and form. The oncologist Christoph Leitner brings in the medical perspective, and Andreas Leiter, lawyer and husband of Duregger, stabilizes the whole thing through organizing and networking. Together they are the creators of the “Bruneck Cancer Talks”. True to her motto “Let’s talk regarding it, because cancer affects us all” we meet her on a gray January day in Brunico.
