The man arrested in connection with the October 16 attack in Brussels during which Abdesalem Lassoued killed two Swedish supporters has been indicted.
The suspect, Lamjed K., born in 1979, was arrested on October 25 during a search in Tervuren. He has since been detained. This Thursday, the federal prosecutor’s office in Brussels announced that he is charged with assassination in a terrorist context, attempted assassination in a terrorist context and participation in the activities of a terrorist group.
He allegedly exchanged photos of an AR-15, the weapon used in the attack, with Abdesalem Lassoued, the perpetrator of the attack. He also allegedly transmitted coded contacts to her. He denied his involvement through his lawyer, who requested his release.
