Brussels: Cocof searched, an official suspected of corruption

A civil servant architect is suspected of corruption in connection with the awarding of a public contract. The institution was the subject of a search ordered by the investigating judge Laurence Heusghem. The investigators descended on the scene were interested in the office of the architect concerned. Two of his colleagues – his head of department and his director of administration – were heard. The architect was presented to the investigating judge, who interviewed him. He was later released on conditions, says Le Vif.

The man had worked at Cocof for 22 years. He was responsible for the management of construction or renovation projects. He was involved in particular in budgeting, design, public procurement procedure, project monitoring and control.
