The local police of Brussels-Midi (Anderlecht/Saint-Gilles/Forest) also confirmed the information. It is not known whether there is a link with the terrorist attack which took place on the night of Monday to Tuesday, but the police passed the information to the competent services as a precaution.

The theft took place during the night from Sunday to Monday, between 10:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., in rue d’école in Saint-Gilles. The criminals took a pair of military stockings, two pairs of khaki pants and two khaki sweaters.

“We actually received a complaint of theft through the Montgomery police zone (Etterbeek/Woluwe Saint-Lambert/Woluwe Saint-Pierre), who drew up the report and informed us,” said Sarah Frederickx , spokesperson for the Brussels-Midi police. “Given the context of today (Tuesday) and yesterday (Monday), we transmitted this information as a precaution and not because we have elements which allow us to establish a link.”
