Brussels Policeman Hit by Drunk Driver: Latest News from Walloon Brabant Prosecutor’s Office

A Brussels policeman in civilian clothes was hit by the car of a drunk motorist on Saturday in Nivelles, we learned on Monday from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office.

Noting a car in violation at the corner of avenue de Burlet and rue Ferdinand Delcroix, early Saturday night, a plainclothes policeman from Brussels approached the driver who immediately restarted.

The agent was hit, finding himself on the hood of the vehicle for regarding thirty meters.

The driver fled with all lights extinguished. The offender, a 61-year-old resident of Mont-Saint-Guibert, intoxicated, was intercepted shortly following by the local police.
