A shooting took place on Rue Lacaille in Brussels, not far from Porte de Hal, on Sunday around 6:00 p.m., the spokesperson for the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone told Belga, confirming information from Het Laatste Nieuws. Two people were seriously injured and the perpetrators are actively being sought.
“We were informed that gunshots were heard on rue Lacaille around 6 p.m.,” said the spokesperson. “On the spot, we discovered two people seriously injured. They were transported to hospital,” he said.
“The perpetrators are on the run and are actively being sought. The investigation has just begun,” added the spokesperson for the police zone which responded to the scene of the shooting.
The prosecution announced that it will provide more information on this case tomorrow morning.
