Brussels: the Covid Safe Ticket extended for three months

The Brussels Parliament’s Health Committee on Tuesday approved the extension, for a maximum period of three months, of the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) for the Brussels-Capital Region.

It was the Brussels government that proposed this extension. According to the Brussels Minister of Health, Alain Maron (Ecolo), the conditions of application of the CST remain unchanged. This decision to extend the system follows the opinion of the Risk Assessment Group (RAG), which recommends the use of the CST in view of the epidemiological situation.

The RAG takes into account in its opinion the circulation of the omicron variant and the fact that the Brussels-Capital Region is, like the whole of Belgium, at alert level 5. This system will be the subject of a monthly assessment according to the health situation.
