Brussels Traffic Report: Updates on Road Network Queues and Accidents

08:09 Queues are piling up on our road network

The queues are very present this Tuesday morning with 317 km of queues accumulated on our road network.

An accident occurred on the Brussels inner ring near Grimbergen. The central lane is blocked in the direction of Zaventem. This will not improve traffic on this inner ring where you now lose 25 minutes between Expo and Machelen.

There are also long queues between Haut-Ittre and Forest on this inner ring where you currently lose 25 minutes over 16 km.

Long lines also on the E19 coming from Antwerp and arriving at Machelen on the Brussels ring road. 30 minutes lost from Mechelen-south.

Please note: 45 minutes to add on the outer ring between Mont-Saint-Jean and Carrefour Léonard

20 minutes on the E411 Namur-Brussels from Overijse. On the E411, the works starting at Daussoulx slow you down from Champion and you will add an additional 15 minutes towards Brussels.

On the E40 Liège-Brussels, two slowdown zones are noted: between Haasrode and Heverlee (+6 minutes) and between Bertem and Woluwé-Saint-Etienne (+15 minutes)

The accident in the right lane on the A602 Chênée-Loncin near Liège-Val Benoit has just been cleared.

The accident on the Brussels outer ring road at Carrefour Léonard has been cleared. But the lines are still there: 30 minutes of slowdowns between Mont-Saint-Jean and Léonard over 11 km. 30 minutes to add between Overijse and Léonard on the E411 towards Brussels. 10 minutes also lost in the works on the E411 from Daussoulx.

On the inner ring, you will add 20 minutes on the Grand-Bigard-Machelen section towards Zaventem.

A bulky object is reported in the left lane in the Strombeek-Bever interchange connecting the A12 coming from Antwerp to the Brussels inner ring road.

The accident in the right lane on the A602 Chênée-Loncin near Liège-Val Benoit slows you down for a little less than 10 minutes between Chênée and Val Benoit in the direction of Brussels.

Please note that access 37 “Val Benoit” is closed.

In the Liège region, you also slow down for 10 minutes on the E25 Maastricht-Liège between Wandre and Bressoux in the direction of Liège.

An accident has been reported on the Brussels outer ring road near Carrefour Léonard.

The left lane is blocked towards Zaventem.

Direct involvement on the E411 coming from Namur with 25 minutes lost between Overijse and Carrefour Léonard.

The accident which occurred on the Chaussée de Tervuren in Brussels has been cleared and the roadway is reopened to traffic towards the center.

An accident has just occurred on the A602 Chênée-Loncin near Liège-Val Benoit in the direction of Brussels. The right lane is blocked and access 37 “Val Benoit” is also closed.

A wooden plaque is indicated in the left strip on the Nationale 5 Charleroi-Philippeville-Couvin near Mariembourg in the direction of Couvin.

The first lines appear like every morning on the inner ring of Brussels. They are still very light: +2 min between Zellik and Jette then a little further +5 min between Strombeek-Bever and Machelen in the direction of Zaventem.

Finally, the Police report that following the collapse of a bridge, the National 971 is closed near Falaen. Local diversions are in place.

Traffic is still very fluid this Tuesday morning. The slippery conditions warning issued by the IRM is still in effect, as it has frozen over the entire territory. These conditions can lead to the formation of ice patches.

However, it should be noted that, following an accident, the Tervuren road in Brussels is temporarily closed towards the center.
