2023-11-11 14:52:00

The march is supported by a large number of civil society organizations, including the FGTB, the CNCD-11.11.11, the Palestinian Community of Belgium and Luxembourg, the Belgian Committee to Support the Sahrawi People, and others Again.

“We want to unite to emphasize the importance of respect for international law, but also to denounce Europe’s inaction in the face of continued violations of international law in Palestine,” according to the organizations.

Participants in the march gathered at 2:00 p.m. at Brussels-North station. Around 2:30 p.m., the marchers left towards Brussels-South station. Speeches and speeches will be delivered there at 4:30 p.m.

Omar Barghouti, Palestinian human rights activist and member of the international BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement, will deliver a speech. Franco-Palestinian lawyer Salah Hamouri, banned from Israel, will also address the crowd.

A representative of the ACV Puls/CNE union will testify about the decision of Belgian workers and trade unionists to no longer load weapons destined for Israel at airports.

Representatives of the Union of Jewish Progressives of Belgium must take the floor to discuss the situation and the importance of not confusing criticism of Israel and anti-Semitism.
