No one knows what the future holds for Tom Brady, but his Milwaukee Buccaneers teammates don’t expect the legendary quarterback to be back with the team next season.

Surveyed by NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, players who preferred to remain anonymous said their last interactions with the 45-year-old veteran felt like a goodbye.

“I’d be surprised to see him back,” said one. “He looked like someone was saying goodbye for good,” added another.

Brady’s 2022 season ended abruptly, in the first round of the playoffs. The “Bucs” were defeated 31-14 by the Dallas Cowboys, and automatically, the rumor machine started.

The pivot could choose retirement again, as he did briefly before the campaign, but could also move to another market. For now, Brady said he wants to think about his future by spending time with his family.

A monster contract of 10 years and $375 million would also await him with Fox Sports. He could thus avoid remaining a free agent for too long.

In 2022, the Buccaneers finished atop the National Conference South Division with an 8-9 record. Brady completed 66.8% of his passes for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
