Buddy Hield scores the fastest 3-pointer in history!

Mini-event in Indiana tonight. Buddy Hield, the Pacers sniper, has set a new NBA record by scoring the fastest 3-pointer in history!

3 seconds. The time to capture the ball following the in-between, turn around, and draw.

He’s like that Buddy Hield. He asks himself no questions, and often it smiles at him. The rear of the Pacers therefore has his name in the NBA record books now, he who has just overtaken the legend of… Pacers Reggie Miller who planted a winning shot after just 4 seconds on March 5, 2000 against Golden State (s/o ESPN).

Small precision to keep in mind all the same, it’s only been since the 1996-97 season that the NBA establishes “play-by-play”, i.e. a recap of every action in the match from the first to the last second. Did a player draw even faster than Buddy Hield before 1996 without anyone knowing? It’s not impossible.

But today, the fastest sniper title in history, it’s for Buddy and no one else.
