In the game against the Cincinnati Bengals, star player Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills collapsed and had to be resuscitated on the field after suffering cardiac arrest.
Hamlin was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is said to be critical. The game was completely stopped after an initial one-hour break.
Two other teams secured a playoff spot.
