Riyadh: Two people died when a building collapsed in the southern province of Najran in Saudi Arabia. Two people were injured. The building that was under construction in the municipality of Habuna Governorate has collapsed.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon. The roof of the building in the Markus Hadari project collapsed. The building is under the municipality. The work was being completed. Those injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital. It is reported that their condition is also critical.

The Civil Defense and the Red Crescent have informed that they reached the place immediately after receiving the information about the collapse of the building and rescued those trapped in the debris and brought them to the hospital. The Habuna Municipality X account disclosed that the defect through the roof of the collapsed building under construction was previously noticed by the project supervisory team and the contractor was officially informed about it. The municipality also informed that the concerned departments reached the spot and took necessary measures as soon as they got the information.
