Bulls beat Trail Blazers 104-96 and end 2-game losing streak

PORTLAND (AP) — DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points and the Chicago Bulls ended a two-game losing streak with a 104-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

Coby White had 15 points and 10 assists for the Bulls, while Andre Drummond scored 15 off the bench. Jeramy Grant led Portland with 24 points, while Deandre Ayon had 22 points and 12 rebounds. The Blazers have lost four of five games.

The Bulls entered the fourth quarter leading just 76-75 and Chicago rookie Julian Phillips extended the lead to 88-80 with a three-pointer.

Anfernee Simons’ 3-pointer with 4:35 left pulled Portland within 92-89 before DeRozan’s 3-pointer ended the threat.

Simons brought his team within 99-96 again near the end, but Ayo Dosunmu had another three-pointer for the Bulls with 21 seconds left to seal Chicago’s victory.

The Bulls were without Patrick Williams, who has a sore left foot and is scheduled to undergo further tests in Chicago before giving a date for his return. Williams averages 10 points per game.
