Referee Daniel Schlager interrupted the game while the stewards – and some players – collected the gold coins. “You are destroying our sport,” both fan camps sang.
When the coins were almost collected and the referee wanted to release the match again, the sweets suddenly flew out of the BVB corner.
The interruption ultimately lasted eight minutes before Schlager was able to restart the game.
