“Scoring machine” Robert Lewandowski (34, Poland), who has been the top scorer in the German professional football Bundesliga for five consecutive years, has announced his breakup with his team, Bayern Munich.
According to the Associated Press and the British BBC, Lewandowski said at a press conference on the 30th (local time) when he called for the Polish national team, “One thing is for sure, the story between me and Munich is over.”
“I can’t imagine a better cooperation with Munich because of what I’ve been through in the last few months,” he said.
On the 14th, prior to the final match of the 2021-2022 season Bundesliga with Wolfsburg on the 14th, he said in an interview with a broadcaster, “This might be the last game I play for Munich,” but this time he completely nailed the transfer.

Lewandowski is currently one of the best strikers in world football.
After playing an active part in the Bundesliga Borussia Dortmund, he moved to the rival team Munich in 2014 and played a leading role in keeping the team at the top of the Bundesliga throughout eight seasons with Munich.
He was the top scorer in the Bundesliga six times out of eight seasons.
In the recently ended 2021-2022 season, he also scored 35 goals in the Bundesliga and became the top scorer.
This season, in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), he scored 13 goals in 10 matches and showed off his scoring sense by scoring two goals in the Super Cup.
In addition to this, he scored 344 goals in his 375 appearances for Munich.
In August 2019, he extended his contract with Munich until 2023, about a year before the expiration of the contract.
Local media reported that Spain’s ‘huge’ FC Barcelona had contacted him and agreed to a contract, and he emerged as a new destination candidate.
