Bungie makes an appointment in a month for a Destiny 2 Showcase | XboxOne

“Be a witness to what happens”, is the letter of intent left by Bungie in its July 21 tweet, accompanied by a short trailer and a date: August 23, 2022. This is the day that the developer will speak in a Showcase dedicated to Destiny 2 and should reveal his plans for the continuation of the adventure of the Guardians.

A new extension unveiled?

August 23rd is a date already marked in the diary of Destiny players since it will mark the end of the Season of Torment. From now on, she will also be expected for the revelations that the studio will have to make on the future of her game.

A year earlier, the showcase exercise had been an opportunity for Bungie to lift the veil on The Witch Queen, the latest expansion to date for the game. It is therefore a safe bet that this year will give rise to equivalent revelations. The sequel to the Traveler and his Guardians, known as Lightfall, will certainly have plenty to show for it.

We must not forget that in the meantime, Bungie has been bought by Sony in order to integrate PlayStation Studios, it will be necessary to see if the new owner of the license will have an impact on its future or not.
