In October, the authorities of Burkina Faso mobilized considerable funds to support efforts to fight terrorism and the reconquest of national territory. Through the Donations Reception and Management Commission, Burkinabè people contributed 104 million CFA francs, or approximately 160,000 euros, according to a press release from the organization.
These financial contributions will be allocated to the purchase of military equipment and the financing of operations aimed at territorial reconquest. The Commission works in collaboration with the Patriotic Support Fund (FPS), supporting the actions of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), auxiliaries of the army, in their fight against terrorist groups.

In its communiqué, the Commission expresses its sincere thanks to all compatriots, stressing the importance of continued commitment and a continuation of the patriotic momentum in the face of persistent security and humanitarian aid needs.
Burkina Faso, like its neighbors in the Sahel, is engaged in a fierce fight against terrorist groups. Recent military collaboration with Russia, highlighted during talks between the Russian and Burkina Faso defense ministers in Moscow on November 7, reinforces efforts to restore a stable security situation in the region.
