Stockholm/Helsinki – A public burning of the Koran is to take place in the Swedish capital of Stockholm on Wednesday followingnoon. The police granted a request following several courts in the spring upheld complaints from applicants who had been banned from carrying out such actions. Most recently, in January, the burning of a Koran in front of the Turkish embassy caused international reactions.
