Burnout: how a teacher overcame burnout

Extreme tiredness and mental fatigue are increasingly common features of workers and household leaders since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. These factors can mean one of the most intense problems in today’s society: the Professional Exhaustion Syndrome, popularly known as Burnout.

Data from the International Stress Management Association (Isma) reverberate that Brazil is second in the global ranking in number of cases of the disease. The disease affects 30% of 100 million Brazilian workers, according to research by the National Association of Occupational Medicine (Anamt).

Among the patients diagnosed in Paraíba is the teacher and writer from Paraíba, Aline Cardoso, who was fired some time following revealing the discovery of the disease and requesting a reduction in the routine at a school.
